The Nature

Among the attractions that the country offers to its visitors, we highlight a wild nature, uncommon in that region of Central Asia, almost everything has already been deforested. The scenery is very diverse and brings together landscapes surrounded by mountains, lakes and blues and forests where wild apples are still found.

Other incredible attractions in the country are present in Atly Emel National Park: the “singing dunes”. They span over 4,000 km². The name of these dunes is due to a peculiar sound when moving with the action of the winds. Another attraction in the region is the Charyn Canyon, located on the country’s border with China.

In addition to summer attractions, the region offers alternatives for winter, such as the ski resort of Shymbulak.

Easy Access

In order to increase the number of tourists visiting the region, the country reduces bureaucracy to receive tourists. Thus, several countries are exempt from a tourist visa to visit the country. Even those who go to work get many benefits that they cannot find in other countries, such as a period of 90 days to stay in the country without the need for a visa.

Amazing Architecture

The country has a great architectural wealth, both with regard to traditional buildings, but mainly for contemporary examples. The renowned English architect Norman Foster has several works in the country, such as the Palace of Peace and Conciliation, Khan Shatyr Entertainment Center and the Bayterek Observation Tower.

In addition to contemporary buildings, we can highlight the mosques and mausoleums present in the country, which are not far behind in terms of complexity and beauty.

Among the main constructions of this nature, we highlight that of Sultan Hazrat, Nur Astana and Koja Ahmed Yasawi. Also worth visiting is the Ascension Cathedral in Almaty — which features Russian influences and resembles the Basil Cathedral in Moscow.

Almaty

Almaty was once the country’s capital, before it was transferred to Astana. However, despite no longer being the political center of the country, the city remains the cultural capital of the country. It is the most cosmopolitan urban center in the country and pleases all tourists who know the city. In addition, the low cost of accommodation, food, among others is a great attraction.

Among the main attractions of the city, we can highlight the various parks, green areas and the subway lines that cross the city, which are very similar to those in Moscow.

Country With Some Civil Liberties

The Central Asian region is marked by many frictions and turmoil, especially political and religious. However, unlike many of its neighbors, Kazakhstan offers a certain harmony between the adherents of the main and diverse religions of the country: Islam, Christianity and Buddhism.

Although the country has a regime considered totalitarian by many western countries, it is much more receptive and open than other neighboring countries. The country even has certain freedoms that are still taboo in the Western world, such as the legalization of prostitution.

So, there are several reasons why you should visit Kazakhstan. They are associated with the culture, buildings and natural beauty of the country. And you, what are you waiting for to discover this gem in Central Asia?
